CIŚNIENIE at Tonarium
Artistic residency summary.
Katowickie Ciśnienie was formed with a single goal: to create the most shattering and intense musical climaxes imaginable. Stylistically it is a blend of post-rock, orchestral music and trance jazz, with inspirations oscillating between bands like Swans, Fire! Orchestra and GY!BE and the music of H. M. Górecki or Arvo Pärt. Saxophone, violin and keys combine here with a seemingly mismatched, overdriven bass and frenetic drums, resulting in exceptionally colourful and varied textures: from improvised, psychedelic ambient, through classically understood harmony, to rhythm-driven, ostinato walls of sound.
Maciek Klich – violin | Kacper Kowalczuk – drums | Łukasz Kozera – keys | Monia Muc – saxophone | Michał Paduch – bass.
