12:15–13:45 Maps of Sensitivity #1. ASP short film screening
Student auteur cinema is a space of creative experiment and of searching for one’s own language, way of telling stories and place in the surrounding reality. Films made in the Katowice ASP environment often anticipate dominant tendencies, because they are not yet subordinated to market expectations. As a result they become a laboratory of new forms, aesthetics and themes, and above all a record of the experiences of a young generation of creators. Maps of Sensitivity is a review of films that we treat as a record of individual experiences, but also as an attempt to capture broader social and cultural transformations. / Text by dr hab. 14:00–14:45 Are video games enough to bring students together?
The meeting will present the first months of the ASP AltF4 student society — the initiative’s beginnings, the process of creating and organising the group, and the activities carried out since its inception, including game jams, its own events and industry meetings, along with the successes, challenges and key conclusions so far.
15:00–16:45 Total Refusal: Short film screening and in-depth Q&A
Programme: World at Stake, Hardly Working, Operation Jane Walk, How to Disappear
The screening presents four award-winning films by the Austrian collective Total Refusal, which uses popular computer games as an artistic medium and a tool of social critique. Transforming virtual worlds into a space for reflection on labour, war, capitalism and contemporary systems of power, the artists reveal the hidden mechanisms of digital reality. The screening will be followed by an in-depth Q&A session with the collective’s members.
17:00–17:45 Debate around the publication “The Future of New Media Art in Poland”
The debate accompanies the first comprehensive report on the condition of new media art in Poland. Together with the report’s authors and invited guests, participants will discuss the opportunities and challenges facing artists and cultural institutions, the role of technology in contemporary artistic practice, and the directions in which the new media art ecosystem is developing.

18:00–18:45 Lecture: Internet Folklore (by Günseli Yalcinkaya)
Internet Folklore is a lecture devoted to internet culture, new technologies and the myths emerging in the digital world. Günseli Yalcinkaya shows how folklore is becoming a tool for understanding contemporary communication, in which artificial intelligence and machine learning are changing the way we perceive reality. As the internet transforms from a space of human communication into an environment increasingly shaped by bots and algorithms, a question arises: how do these systems influence the emergence and spread of contemporary stories and the collective imagination?
