Kamil Czapiga

Kamil Czapiga was born in 1991 in Katowice, Poland, where he continues to live and work. His artistic journey began during his adolescence, when his parents enrolled him in a local art school — although at the time, he was far from convinced that it was the right idea.

A few years later, with considerably less resistance, he continued his artistic education at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, where he studied Graphic Design. In 2012, he received his bachelor’s degree from the Illustration Studio.

While still a student, he began his professional career as an illustrator and tattoo artist. For the following 11 years, he ran his own private tattoo studio, creating original designs for clients from Poland and abroad.

In April 2023, following the unexpectedly rapid development of his microscopy-based side project, he decided to bring his tattoo career to a close and devote himself entirely to Cosmodernism. The project has since become his primary creative platform and the main direction of his artistic practice.
